Two Life Lessons From My Sweet Clara

December 11, 2019

First of all, I have no idea how my tiny baby girl is TWO! I honest to God feel like I should still be on maternity leave with her.

Clara has changed my life in ways I will never be able to communicate. There is no doubt in my mind that she met mom before she blessed us on earth. She is filled with so much happiness, energy and just the right amount of quirkiness. There are times she does things and I just giggle to myself because I know that mom is watching and saying... payback is a bi*T#.

Clara has brought joy and laughter to so many people and she has definitely taught me a thing or two. I want to share two life lessons she has given me so far in honor of her second birthday.

Lesson Number 1:

Joy is the best medicine. This girl RADIATES joy (as long as she is fed and has had a good night’s rest). Her smile lights up a room and her caring heart will change your mood in the matter of seconds. She has reminded me that even on my worst days there is always room for joy and it most definitely makes me feel 100% better. I have made it my goal to find joy every single day and I have Clara to thank for this.

Lesson Number 2:

Persistence and Drive AKA “grit” are key ingredients to getting what your heart desires. This girl is jam packed with grit. If she wants to achieve something you better believe she is going to get it done. I don’t care if it means scaling her crib, lunging out of your arms, or running down the street she will GET THE JOB DONE! I have always been called “bossy” and it is honestly nice to know that some people are just born with certain qualities. Clara was born with grit and I have no doubt will use it to her full advantage her entire life. She is a woman on a mission and I LOVE watching her figure out her “plan of attack”.

Clara is the perfect combination of joy, love and grit and I am so proud to be her mother.

If you are having a bad day, take a page out of Clara's  book and find joy while  simultaneously  pursuing your heart's desires.
